They are different views from Customer and Business viewpoints:
- Experience is Outside-In Customer view
- Products & Services is Inside-Out Business view
Product vs Service
What is the difference between Product and Service?
They are different views from Customer and Business viewpoints. Product or Service is just a different way to provide/package necessary Function(ality) to Customer:
- Product: Customer buys or rents the required Function(ality).
- Service: Customer requests the required Function(ality) from Service Provider.
For Example
- Function: Washing is a Function(ality) for cleaning clothes.
- Product: Washing Machine is a Product when you buy or rent Washing Machine for using Washing Function.
- Service: Washing House (Laundry) provides a Service and you use Washing Function from this Services.

- Sales is Inside-Out Business view.
- Commerce is Outside-In Customer view.

What is the difference between Retail Banking and Consumer Banking?
Retail Banking is also known as Consumer Banking, is banking that provides Financial Services to consumers as individuals not businesses. Consumer Banking is a way for individual consumers to manage their money, have access to credit, and deposit their money in a secure manner. Services offered by retail banks include personal loans, credit cards, etc.
